Studying scripture plays a vital role in equipping members of Faith to proclaim the Word of God. There are several Bible studies offered from which to choose. Pastor Moore teaches a weekly class with a choice of Wednesday evening @ 7 or Thursday@ 10 am. The study may focus on an in-depth exploration of a book of the Bible or a life topic based on Biblical application.
A Women’s Bible study taught offers a choice of Tuesday evening @ 7pm or Wednesday afternoon @ 3 pm. This study ranges from exploring the Old and New Testaments to scriptural concepts for daily living. Women gather in small groups for discussion and fellowship.
Sunday School meets @ 9:45 each Sunday. Sunday School classes vary throughout the year and may focus on a select book of the Bible, Church History or application of scripture to our daily lives.
Each opportunity for Study of the Bible is focused on preparing the believer to proclaim the Word of God. (See event page for topics of Bible study and times)
Women of Faith
The women of Faith are vital part of our church. Organized in 2007, they are the backbone of service to our church and our community. This organization provides an opportunity for all women to serve and participate in church activates. The women are instrumental in planning monthly church dinners, overseeing the nursery, library and conducting community food drives throughout the year. The Women of Faith meet the first Friday of each month (September thru May) @ 11:30 in fellowship hall. The meeting includes a devotional, a short business meeting, lunch and a program. Offers are elected to serve for 2 years with a variety of committees available on which members can serve.
Men of Faith
The Men of Faith meet the first Saturday of the month (September thru May) @ 8:30 am. A hearty breakfast of biscuits & gravy or pancakes and sausage is served along with plenty of hot coffee. It’s a great time for comradery and conversation.
The 3rd Sunday of each month a pot luck dinner follows the worship service. The church provides the meat, beverage and rolls; members are asked to bring side dishes and dessert. It’s a time to get to know one another and enjoy a meal together.
Meet and Greet
A time between Sunday school and the Worship service, set aside to gather in fellowship hall to greet newcomers and visit with one another. Coffee and light refreshments are served. Everyone is welcome.
The choir at Faith Presbyterian Church is comprised of members who love to sing to the glory of the Lord. Their musical gifts greatly enhance our worship service. The choir is open to all who enjoy singing. (See event page for time)
