Faith Presbyterian Church is a member of the ARP (Associate Reformed Presbyterian) denomination which is very similar to the PCA (Presbyterian Church in America). If you would like more information about the ARP, you may go to http://arpchurch.org/who-we-are/.
As a member of the ARP, Faith Presbyterian Church is three things:
We are Biblical. We believe the Bible to be the inspired and infallible word of the God who made us. We are committed to living life, worshipping and serving the Creator, in conformity with the Bible.
We are Presbyterian. In short, it refers to the way we are governed. While Christ is the Head of the Church, our church is ruled by Christ through elders (presbyters) who are elected by the congregation.
We are Reformed. This means that we stand in that stream of the Protestant Reformation that generally follows the teachings of John Calvin. We adhere to that expression of the Reformed faith found in the Westminster Confession of Faith and Larger and Shorter Catechisms.
What does all this look like in practice? We welcome you to come and see! Come and discover with us what it means to live lives of faith in the God of the Bible!
