Our Denomination
Faith Presbyterian Church is a member of the ARP (Associate Reformed Presbyterian) denomination.
If you would like more information about the ARP, you may go to http://arpchurch.org/who-we-are/.
There are three distinguishable characteristics of the ARP:
We are Biblical. We believe the Bible to be the inspired and infallible word of our Creator God. We are committed to living life, worshipping and serving the Creator, in conformity with the Bible.
We are Reformed. We adhere to the Reformed Faith as expressed in the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Larger & Smaller Catechism.
We are Presbyterians. This refers to our form of government. We acknowledge Christ as head of the Church who imparts leadership to the local church through elders. This governing body of elders known as (presbyters) are elected by the congregation and govern as led by the example of Christ.
We Believe
- Jesus Christ, Our Savior: Jesus Christ is the only Savior, who died for our sins and was raised from the dead to grant us eternal life.
- John 14:6, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Romans 6:23
- Salvation by Grace Through Faith: Salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Christ alone, made effective by the work of the Holy Spirit.
- Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5, Romans 5:1
- The Triune God: We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Deuteronomy 6:4
- God’s Sovereignty: God is sovereign over all things, ruling with perfect wisdom, power, and love.
- Psalm 103:19, Daniel 4:35, Romans 8:28
We invite you to come worship with us this Sunday at 10:55 am, and discover what it means to live a life of faith in the God of the Bible.
